Hey Raj let me just say that the entire problem with aluminum wiring and homes is usually not in direct conjunction with a light fixture being hooked up to a circuit. A light fixture may draw a total of 130 W divided by 120 V equals 1.08 of an amp . This load is very small , as would be any load arc that may result from a faulty connection in the fixture . That having been said a light fixture with a faulty connection that was arcing inside the box. Would most certainly cause the light to show some signs of the weak were deteriorating connection. Such as flickering off and on . The main problem with aluminum wiring and homes is not light fixtures so to the end of the switch leg . The main problem with aluminum connections in homes is when a connection is made inside a receptacle box and that receptacle feeds multiple other receptacles in the home. These other receptacles that are fed from the offending receptacle can many times have multiple appliances plugged into them that may or may not be monitored by people constantly to see if there cutting in and out. That's all larger load applied to aluminum to copper connections in a receptacle feedthrough type situation in a box in your home. Is the usual culprit for aluminum wiring fire. The amperage draw on disconnection can reach anywhere from 1 amp to 20 amp's . At that amperage there is a significant danger of a load arc situation causing an arc fire. I moved to North Carolina about  12 years ago. The culture and society in Charlotte North Carolina were much different than where I came from on the West Coast.
